This is an opportunity for a Bid professional to join a a growing law firm on a 12 month fixed term contract as Bid Manager based out of either Manchester or Liverpool with a flexible working arrangement to spend approximately 50% of their time working from home.
This is a full spectrum Bid Manager role, you will take ownership - under the guidance of the Head of BD, for Bids from start to finish including the GO/NoGo decision making, kick off meetings, pulling together the content, submission, preparing the Partners for pitch (if required), and the follow up. You will need to build close working relationships with the partners and associates in order to be able to influence the timescales, speed of response and really get under the skin of an innovative and bespoke response to bids which takes into account the clients requirement.
This is a firm which is growing at a rate and their investment in developing the capability of the marketing and BD function is impressive. Whilst not something that can be guaranteed, there is an expectation that there will be an opportunity for this role to become permanent once the role holder is back in place as the team is due to grow.
Ideally you will be in a position to start as soon as possible, although it is possible to wait up to a month for the right applicant. You will need experience with professional services bid management, either in another legal firm or an accountancy or similar partnership. The firm is embracing flexible working and you will be expected to work, once you have settled in, into a pattern of 2 -3 days in the office and the rest from home. Some flexibility in this arrangement will be expected dependent on the stage of individual bids.
