Your new company
A local government services organisation. Servicing the whole are of Nottingham, your new organisation are friendly and fast paced growing organisation.

Your new role
In this role you will be expected to assist your Communications Manager to deliver the organisations communication strategy. Your day to day activity will be centred around media relations, researching for new stories and writing the releases. You will handle all media enquiries and write/create a range of print and online publications using a range of platforms.

Some of the duties will be as follows:

  • Handling of Crisis communications or communications around incidents
  • Keeping up to date on all social media/website platforms, with live updates for on-going incidents
  • Assist in on-going management and development of the Facebook page, Twitter and so forth
  • Assisting in internal and external publications

Some other key areas are to assist in internal communications such as electronic briefings and staff liaison. You will take part in projects, from planning to delivery. This role will expect you to also take part in press conferences and launches as and when required, which may be additional to your normal working hours.



What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role you must be immediately available or available on a 1 week notice. You MUST HAVE a minimum of 2-4 years experience with in a Communications/PR role with a strong skill in content creation and writing.
