Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading business based in South Yorkshire to recruit a Bid Manager to join their growing team.

Reporting into the Head of Bid Management and joining a team of Bid Managers, you will be responsible for producing and delivering high quality bid material to support new business development activity and drive business growth.

You will manage multiple bids of varying sizes (often multi-million pound bids) from initial specification through to the contract being awarded, before handing over to the operations team.

Each of your bids will be led externally by a business development manager who will remain client facing throughout the process, as a bid manager you will take charge of the internal delivery gaining support from the team of bid writers as and when required.

A major part of this role will be to write and deliver the content for the bids working cross functionally with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gain the relevant information to translate into engaging bid material. You will build solid internal relationships with these SMEs to ensure accurate and timely delivery of this information, in some instances working to tight deadlines.

As the bid manager you will support the head of bids with line management of the more junior members of the team, supporting on work allocation and ensuring all projects are being delivered effectively and on deadline.

Elevation Recruitment Group would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

-A proven track record working within a Bid Management role is essential
-Experience of working on multi-million pound bids would be highly advantageous
-Strong project management skills with the ability to influence internal stakeholders to
deliver to deadlines
-Excellent communication skills, in particular the ability to write compelling content
covering a range of audiences
-Good knowledge of written English, grammar and proof reading
-Ability to lead both project teams and mentor more junior members of the bid team (previous
team management experience would be advantageous)
-A flexible approach with the ability to manage multiple projects at any one time
