This leading International legal firm is seeking an experienced Marketing Assistant to be part of a creative team that manages its marketing process, from concept to delivery. This is a broad and varied role and would suit someone looking to expand their experience and knowledge of the full marketing mix. This role predominately has three key areas of responsibility:
1. To be the international alumni ambassador, proactively driving the strategy, building relationships with key stakeholders and promoting the programme and managing the alumni database. You will develop and implement a communications programme across all channels which includes the writing of the quarterly alumni newsletter, regularly updating the alumni website with fresh news and features, social media and internal promotions. You'll plan and co-ordinate a yearly UK alumni event in co-operation with the events team and manage the LinkedIn group, posting regularly and develop the new joiner communications in line with the GDPR.
2. To support the Marketing and Communications team on a variety of activities as and when required. Some of these activities will include assisting on major campaign activities, production of e-communications, writing, editing and proof reading a variety of the firm's collateral, merchandise and collateral stock check and re-ordering, article updates on the firm's international website, running CRM/InterAction reports to help track ROI, assisting with major internal communications campaigns and producing the weekly managing partner update.
3. You will assist the Events team to deliver a range of events such as breakfast briefings, forums, round tables, webinars, dinners and drinks receptions, reporting on leads and opportunities. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and marketing colleagues to deliver cohesive event marketing communications including the invitation process, preparing documents and branding for hosted events, event reception attendance and coordination, managing internal UK-wide events, and offering support with the monthly events newsletter.
You will be a highly organised and proactive individual with broad experience of marketing channels (at least two years), including all aspects of communications, relationship building, the skill and creativity to edit videos and event planning. You'll have experience within a professional services firm and have a similar experience of managing an alumni programme in professional services, business, education or not-for-profit sectors and current membership of an alumni programme, experience in video production and editing and event co-ordination would be beneficial. You will have a hands-on approach and willingness to help across the team, excellent communication skills both verbal and written, be a good proof-reader with excellent people skills (including influencing) as you'll need to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders. You'll be a confident user of social media - including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, with good computer literacy: including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience would be desirable in CRM systems.
