My client, a reputable UK law firm, is looking for a Bid Manager to join their Exeter headquarters. Reporting into the Head of Business Development, the Bid Manager will lead on all client facing documents, from formal RFPs and pitches, to credentials, client packs and capability statements. The variety of client documentation required is beyond that of pitches, so they are seeking someone able to manage multiple projects, and who will enjoy engaging in BD tasks with lawyers across the firm's practices and sectors. The role also manages a Bid team of two, allowing the Bid Manager to take responsibility of strategy.
The firm is thus looking for a strategic Bid Manager, who will be actively involved in Partner's business planning, spotting opportunities, advising on sector targets and ensuring follow up. The Bid Manager will also have broad BD responsibilities, as the go-to for the public-sector group on all BD activity. This will include business planning, events and marketing campaigns.
The successful candidate will have previous BD and/or bids experience in a professional services environment, such as law, accounting, property, construction or consultancy. They will be confident with experience managing stakeholders, and enjoy working as part of a collegiate team.
