Pitch Content Manager (6 Month FTC) - Global Law Firm
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global law firm on an initial 6 month contract basis. The firm is delivering a key strategic project to review the firm's approach to pitching. It has three main workstreams, technology, process and content, and a Pitch Content Manager is required to support the delivery of the content workstream.
As part of the workstream, all pitch content will be gathered, reviewed and edited. The result of this process will be the creation of a comprehensive suite of high quality and client focused pitch content that meets the needs of the global team. There is a wide range of content types to be covered and, overseeing and quality checking the work of the Pitch Content Coordinator, the Pitch Content Manager will need to stablish a review calendar for all final content and ensure all content has been reviewed ahead of future migration to a pitching tool. The role holder will lead on the review of practice and sector content and focus on the review and development of "offer" based pitch specific content such as delivery and innovation. Engaging with content owners in a variety of jurisdictions to manage expectations regarding content amendments, the successful applicant will review existing content and make recommendations for amendment, amalgamation or deletion within each category, edit and improve the quality of existing content to ensure client focus and relevance to the pitching context and, applying your understanding of what general counsel are looking for when appointing law firms, identify missing content. Helping to develop best practice guidelines and quality assurance criteria for base pitch content will constitute an important part of this role. You will also contribute to the success of the project by leading regular content work stream meetings and through the maintenance of a current log of progress in each category and a log of action taken in relation to each content item so that there is accountability to content owners for decisions taken regarding historic content.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or professional qualification allied with proven previous experience of drafting compelling, original content for pitches within a professional services environment, preferably a law firm. Confident, robust, self-motivated and calm under pressure, it is essential that the Pitch Content Manager possesses outstanding interpersonal and communication skills combined with a strong customer focus and commercial awareness.
