BD Co-ordinator (EIPAF & Global Mining) - Singapore
One of the top global law firms with a very strong presence in Asia are looking for a BD Co-ordinator to be based out of their Singapore office. The role holder will work closely with direct line managers and the broader Business Development & Marketing team to support the lawyers on strategy for Asia Pacific EIPAF and Global Mining & Metals. The successful candidate will be working with entrepreneurial and driven partners with a clear plan for success.
The BD Co-ordinator will work proactively to provide organised BD support to line managers and lawyers to deliver against objectives in the Asia Pacific EIPAF and Global Mining & Metals business plans. Working to tight deadlines, you will conduct research and analysis to support BD activities and to pursue opportunities and will take the lead in preparing proposals, capability statements, presentations and other client facing materials, which concisely and convincingly convey the strengths of the firm. You will also be responsible for actively tracking BD opportunities in the firm's CRM system and working with the lawyers to track transactions in the firm's matter database to ensure experience is accurately profiled. From a communications perspective the role holder will work with the global communications team to suggest ways to improve the firm's profile both internally and externally and will be tasked with maintaining current BD materials, preparing directory, award and league table submissions and collating and distributing regular and ad hoc internal communications for the Global Mining & Metals group. The successful candidate will also take the lead in executing BD events, with a focus on ROI and follow up.
The ideal candidate will be a university graduate with experience working in BD preferably for a law or other professional services firm, or an energy or natural resources company. Previous experience of working in Asia would be advantageous. The BD Co-ordinator must also have Native English written and oral communication skills and have a thorough understanding of basic BD principles including experience working with a CRM system, ideally InterAction. In addition candidates should be team players, with a strong work ethic, sense of professionalism and responsibility and possess the ability build strong relationships, understand and adapt to different working styles and gain the confidence of lawyers and colleagues at all levels.
