This is a chance to join a premier international law firm and one of the largest law firms worldwide. A fantastic Business Development Manager opportunity exists to work strategically with the partnership, providing pitch support to the Corporate practice.

This is a high level role which requires strong end to end pursuit management, commercial strategic thinking, and an innovative approach. You will be involved in all strategic bid management, acting a key internal advisor to the partners. The firm are seeking an experienced individual, with a strong background in pursuit and pitch generation, to lead on their approach. Driving best practice and knowledge share, the role holder will be required to ensure the firm goes to market and responds to opportunities in a way that positively differentiates itself from its competitors. You will be responsible for identifying "must win" pitches, focusing on priority clients and opportunities and managing the pitching process from end-to-end, providing guidance on how to respond to RFPs and bringing fresh ideas to the process. The Business Development Manager will be tasked with writing compelling and innovative tenders for the London Corporate department, developing value propositions and relevant practice group messaging to present a competitive offering, coaching fee earners on pitch presentation and delivery, obtaining feedback on tender opportunities and conducting debriefs with clients and internal teams to continually improve the firm's offering and efficiencies. Proactively managing the new business pipeline to increase win rates will be a key part of the role.

The ideal candidate must have extensive prior pitch and proposal experience gained in a professional services environment combined with technical corporate knowledge. The Business Development Manager must have the ability to operate both strategically and with a hands-on approach. Other pre-requisites include, a strong academic background, excellent drafting and copywriting skills, a high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines. You will need be extremely polished and have outstanding internal advisory skills.
