Assistant PR & Comms Manager - 13 Month FTC - Accountancy
A 13 month fixed term contract opportunity has arisen for a communications specialist within a dynamic mid-tier accountancy firm. The Assistant PR & Comms Manager will lead the PR & Comms function to deliver its objectives in line with the firm's strategy and protect and enhance the firm's reputation, effectively managing any crisis situations.
The role holder will lead a strategic and targeted approach to the firm's media and communications activity and must effectively manage the PR & Comms Executive and PR agency to help deliver the PR & Comms objectives. You will work collaboratively with partners and colleagues to develop and project-manage PR and communications campaigns and maximise the effectiveness and return on investment of PR activity, using appropriate measurement and evaluation tools. Usual duties will include managing the firm's relationship with the media through regular contact with key members of the press; managing the PR agency to deliver on agreed objectives, directing activity and acting as a liaison point between partners and agency; writing and issuing press releases, comments, articles and internal comms; producing appropriate messaging for key firm-wide documents and projects; coaching partners in media handling and on writing articles; advising on press office enquiries and any reactive crisis management.
This highly sort after role would be suitable for someone of graduate calibre with similar PR and communications experience in another professional services firm, to include a proven track record of delivering effective PR and multi-channel communications campaigns. Proven man-management exposure, strong writing and editing abilities and influencing and diplomacy skills are crucial in being successful in this role.
